Victor young, The Composer of Hollywood Dreams (speech)

This Thursday (on August 22th 2019) will have Mr. Davoodi an analytical speech on the life and personal composition style of the Victor Young. The speech will be in the most prestigious cultural centers of Iran called the NIAVARAN CULTURAL CENTER (in the capital Tehran). The speech is called Victor young, The Composer of Hollywood Dreams and it is a part of Mr. Davoodis monthly speeches on the greatest composers of cinema. Mr. Nasrollah Davoodi is an Iranian composer and music researcher specialized in film music.

Kritzerland Records rocks again! Just released 4 scores on one CD. The Cd containts the score from The Proud and the Profane (1956), Forever Famale (1953), Little Boy Lost (1953) and My Favorite Spy (1951). Released as limited edition on 1000 copies. More information in Discography.

Also I would like to add here a link to article about Kuba Stankiewicz, Polish pianist and jazzman, who had a lecture in Prague last year. He is well known for his interpretation of V. Young music. You can find there a photo of V. Young as a teenager (see below).

Victor Young at Kritzerland Records

Kritzerland Records just released three V. Young's scores from the Appointment With Danger (1951), The Accused (1949) and September Affair (1950) on one CD. Released as limited edition on 1000 copies. More information in Discography section.

Complete score from Shane released on CD!

This is totaly amazing!! All fans of V. Young have early Christmas, because after 4 previous CD releases from Disques CinéMusique and Kritzerland release La La Land Records the complete score from the western Shane, which score is IMHO one of the best score, what V. Young composed. Released as limited edition on 2000 copies. More information in Discography section.

New CDs releases with V. Young's score

Disques CinéMusique released already two CDs with Young's music this year and now is releasing the third! The third CD containst the score from Sands of Iwo Jima, which was available only as LP. The CD containst also the score from Island In The Sky, composed by Emil Newman, Hugo Friedhofer and Herbert Spencer.
The other CD release is something special. Kritzerland released the Young's score from Strategic Air Command in limited edition of 1000 copies. You can find more information in Discography section.

New CD from Disques CinéMusique

DISQUES CINEMUSIQUE strikes again! They released on one CD the score from Golden Earrings, Omar Khayyam and For Whom the Bell Tolls, which are (how else) long unavailable. You can find more information in the Discography section.

Run of the Arrow and The Brave One new on the CD

Great news for every fans of film music of Victor Young! DISQUES CINEMUSIQUE will release on one CD the score from Run of the Arrow, which was available only on LP, and the score from The Brave One, which is long unavailable. You can find more information in the Discography section.
Also thanks to one of the fans of V. Young's music I was able to add into Discography very rare LP The Legendary Victor Young, which contains 12 movie themes, one probably from composer Harry Sukmana.
